Hello, I’m Mandie!
I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Montana State University. I was pursing a dual Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling when I became pregnant. Shortly after discovering this news, I experienced a miscarriage. Two and a half months later, I got pregnant again with our sweet rainbow baby. My miscarriage and my first daughter’s (Zoe’s) birth really sparked an immense passion for all things pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. Zoe’s birth was incredibly transformative for me and I felt a true calling to supporting mothers. I chose to follow this passion and sought new education in full-spectrum doula support, lactation, perinatal nutrition, and infant/child sleep.
In all my education and experience supporting mothers, I started noticing a pattern. There is so much “noise” from all these “experts” that drowns out a woman’s ability to listen to her instincts and trust herself. Women have begun doubting themselves and handing over their autonomy and decisions to other people who are not equipped to safeguard and embrace their individual experience. From my own journey with motherhood, my education, and experience supporting other mothers I’ve learned about and experienced embracing one’s individual and authentic experience. I help mothers embrace their authentic experience by preparing and supporting their autonomy, encouraging their individuality, and trusting their instincts. I have found this allows mothers to transform and thrive. My husband and I currently have two amazing daughters and a small menagerie of creatures. When I am not chasing after my kiddos, you can find me gardening, floating rivers, camping, or otherwise enjoying the sunshine. In winter, I am often hibernating catching up on favorite shows and books. I love to learn and grow which keeps my “to-learn” and “to-read” lists often longer than I can keep up with. I am a huge Montana State Bobcats fan, Go Cats Go!
