Courses that actually teach you how to listen to yourself and trust your body and baby.

The 3 biggest challenges that mothers face…

1) Lack of education

So many women are growing up not having seen or learned about birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding. As a result, we don’t understand our rights regarding our medical care, we don’t know how to advocate for ourselves, we don’t know what to expect and we are lacking the crucial information we need to feel comfortable and confident during this journey.

That’s probably why you’re here, so that you can learn:

  • what to expect in your journey,

  • how to make informed decisions that align with your preferences, and

  • how to advocate for yourself,

  • how to get the support you deserve during your journey

2) The “experts”

Our society has grown too comfortable thinking other people know more about us, than we could. We have given all of our power and control, surrounding our autonomy, to all these “experts” that we’ve forgotten to listen to ourselves and trust our instincts. We have no confidence in ourselves and zero trust in our instincts. Our doctors, sleep trainers, pediatricians, all these “experts” make a lot of “noise” about what you need to do, how you need to do it, and that you’re wrong or abnormal if it’s not want they want or what fits in their “standard of care” provided. I’m even going to include the Mommy Facebook Groups who continue to spout “your doctor knows what they are doing so automatically trust everything they say”. So we hand over our autonomy and power to all these “experts” because they “know better”.
But do they?

Do they respect what YOU want?
Do they
understand who YOU are?
Do they
know YOUR why?
Do they
trust YOUR body?

3) Poor outcomes

  • Roughly 32% of women experiencing birth via cesarean, despite the recommendation being 10-15%.

  • 1 in 3 women are experiencing birth trauma.

  • 2 in 3 women who experienced birth trauma believe their trauma was avoidable.

  • 9% of women met the diagnostic criteria for PTSD at least once in the first 24 months postpartum.

  • Suicide is the second leading cause of death for mothers after birth.

  • 1 in 3 mothers will be diagnosed with a mental health disorder during postpartum

  • Mothers are 28% more likely to develop a postpartum autoimmune disease within the first year after baby.

These numbers are only increasing! It’s time to take a stand and demand better!

My class will teach you how!

“[Mandie’s] advice and encouragement for nursing was very helpful! As was just her overall advice and tips she's learned about newborns. Some of her words still come to mind. She is a wealth of information and overall just a great person to have by your side through an incredible journey like motherhood.”

Birth & Postpartum

[Mandie] has the kindest heart and truly wants what’s best for you as a mom and woman regarding your birth. She helped give me confidence for both of my births and I highly recommend having her to be there for any support you need!

On Your Mark, Get Set, BABY!

What is it that you want from your birth?

If you're answering that question with: "for me and my baby to be alive and healthy"?
Then we definitely need to have a conversation.

Alive and healthy is the BARE MINIMUM and it should already be EXPECTED. Not hoped for. Families should automatically be walking out of their birth with themselves and their baby alive and healthy.

Our current philosophy towards birth is leaving mothers experiencing severe birth trauma, unnecessary interventions, major abdominal surgery, that negatively impact their postpartum.

Mothers are walking out of birth and into postpartum traumatized, unprepared, depleted, and at risk for mental health disorders. The United States has one of the highest rates of maternal mortality compared to other similarly developed countries.

Where does this leave us?
Lacking confidence, afraid of birth, unprepared, exhausted, disrespected, and unsupported.

How do we fix this? I'm glad you asked..

We demand MORE out of our birth and postpartum experience!

We TAKE CHARGE of our birth and postpartum experience!

We TRUST our bodies and our instincts!

We STOP handing over our control!
